About This Role

This Public Relations role involves owning the public affairs for the company's data center and power projects, working with local officials, community groups, and the public. The person in this role will build community support and manage responses when projects attract attention or opposition.

Responsibilities

• Own public affairs for data center and power projects: local officials, community groups, and the public record
• Build support in the communities where the company builds through town halls, briefings, and relationship management to keep projects moving
• Run the response when a project draws attention, media, hearings, and opposition, with a plan instead of a scramble
• Partner with development, legal, and government relations to ensure the external story matches the project reality

Requirements

• Experience in public affairs or community relations for infrastructure, energy, or land development projects
• Ability to manage skeptical audiences and de-escalate situations
• Experience building coalitions of local stakeholders that showed up when it counted
• Ability to write fast and clean: talking points, letters, and testimony
• Ability to track the politics of a county like analysts track a market

Nice to have:

• Data center or utility siting experience
• Campaign or government experience
• Crisis communications experience
• Experience in Texas or upstate New York markets
