Duties
As a Public Health Analyst you will:
Manage relationships with a variety of external organizations on national, state and local levels.
· Communicate with key collaborators on matters of policy, public health research, and program activities.
· Assist in creating a variety of organization-wide reports for internal and external use including Congressional and Executive and other Administration level documents.
· Resolve problems that involve the media, the public, Congress or special interest groups.
· Apply agency, department, and/or government wide evaluation efforts to program activities.
· Work with private foundations, nonprofit organizations and/or business to identify areas of collaboration between them and agency.
· Engage in environmental scanning and policy research to identify public health policy recommendations, including interventions, which assist the organization in improving the public's health and meeting one or more of its short and long-term goals.
· Develop informational resources for external audiences that communicate the agency's priorities and goals.
Qualifications
GS-0685-11
One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service, to include experience in coordinating the planning, developing, and/or evaluating public health policy and issues management activities, and working with external organizations on the national, state and local levels with minimum supervision, Or a Ph.D. or equivalent degree OR 3 (three) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related, Or a combination of experience and education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.

One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, to include experience leading the planning, developing, and/or evaluating public health policy and issues management activities, developing policy briefs and position papers, and working with external organizations on the national, state and local levels.
Documenting experience: In accordance with Office of Personnel Management policy, federal employees are assumed to have gained experience by performing duties and responsibilities appropriate for their official series and grade level as described in their position description. Experience that would not normally be part of the employee's position is creditable, however, when documented by satisfactory evidence, such as a signed memorandum from the employee's supervisor or an SF-50 or SF-52 documenting an official detail or other official assignment. The documentation must indicate whether the duties were performed full time or, if part time, the percentage of times the other duties were performed. It is expected that this documentation is included in the employee's official personnel record. In order to receive credit for experience in your resume that is not within the official series and grade level of your official position, you must provide a copy of the appropriate documentation of such experience as indicated above.
