Duties
As a Public Health Advisor you will:
·Lead the development of local, State, national and/or international program operations and initiatives for assigned operating public health programs.
·Formulate local, State, national and/ or international program and project goals, objectives, operating policies, strategic program plans, guidelines, standards and priorities.
·Represent CDC at technical, policy and strategic planning meetings which entail meetings and coordination with collaborators and donor agencies.
·Serve as the technical contracting officer's representative (COR) for grants, contracts and cooperative agreements.
·Prepare, review, negotiate, and/or monitor collaborative agreements, contracts, and/or memorandum of agreements.
·Oversee the development of work plans for implementation of activities and ensures submission and review of all required progress reports.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS-12: Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience providing assistance in the planning and management of public health programs (examples: HIV/AIDS, TB, infectious diseases, and immunization).
GS-13: Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience providing management and operations or technical advice and assistance in the management and implementation of public health programs (examples: HIV/AIDS, TB, infectious diseases, and immunization).
GS-14: Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience providing management and operations or technical advice by managing public health programs (examples: HIV/AIDS, TB, infectious diseases, and immunization).
GS-15: Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service to include experience providing operational leadership in developing and formulating new programs and/or initiatives for the management and implementation of public health programs (examples: HIV/AIDS, TB, infectious diseases, and immunization).
