About This Role
Joining Niyama Center as a virtual psychotherapist offers the freedom and flexibility of remote, in-person, or hybrid work, allowing you to design a schedule that fits your life. This role is for a therapist dedicated to providing compassionate, integrative care with a focus on somatic and EMDR healing, as an independent 1099 contractor.
Responsibilities
- Conduct client sessions virtually from a secure home office
- Work some evenings in addition to daytime appointments to meet client demand
- Maintain a healthy work-life balance while supporting a steady, full caseload
- Complete same-day or next-morning documentation
- Dedicate time for team meetings and professional growth
Requirements
- Trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) or eager to complete a 50-hour training through our trusted somatic and attachment-focused EMDR provider
- Past experience working with teens and/or adults in an outpatient private practice setting
- Fully licensed in Michigan as LMSW, LPC, LMFT, or LP
- 1–2+ years of outpatient therapy experience, ideally with trauma-informed practice
- Experienced in working with adults, adolescents, or couples in virtual or outpatient settings
- Private practice experience: 2 years (Required)

Important Details
- Work format: fully remote, in-person in Bloomfield Hills, MI, or hybrid
- Full-time: ~30 scheduled client sessions/week
- Part-time: ~25 scheduled client sessions/week
