Role Overview: A psychiatrist is needed to provide inpatient psychiatric care in an acute facility, covering inpatient, OR, and ER settings. The position involves conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and managing medications for adult patients with psychiatric conditions.
- Responsibilities: Conduct psychiatric assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications, and collaborate with hospital staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Shift Details: 12-hour day shifts on weekends, working at least 3-4 weekends per month, with documentation and patient management via the EPIC EMR system.
- Qualifications & Skills: Board certification required, prescriptive authority, experience with adult psychiatric populations, and ability to work in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
- Key Duties: Manage variable caseloads, support staff assistance, and provide care for adult patients with acute psychiatric needs in a 24/7 facility.
