About the role
Join a state-operated psychiatric hospital as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) in an inpatient setting, providing full-time care for adult patients during regular business hours.
- Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing medications, developing and updating treatment plans, and participating in interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 12-15 patients per day, treating conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, and acute psychosis.
- Prescriptive authority is required to deliver comprehensive psychiatric care.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and case workers.
- Ideal candidates will have board certification and experience in inpatient psychiatric care.
- The role involves on-site work with a variable patient census and an average length of stay of 30-90 days.
