Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

About This Role

This full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position at Rosewood Ranch in Wickenburg, AZ, involves providing psychiatric care and medication management to patients with eating disorders. The role requires onsite care from Monday to Friday with some flexibility, working within a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations
• Meet weekly with patients for ongoing follow-up sessions
• Maintain current and correct progress notes
• Manage psychotropic medication
• Collaborate with the full treatment team as needed
• Communicate with referring providers and family members as appropriate
• Provide patient-specific input for discharge planning
• Maintain compliance with all standards set by agencies with oversight of this facility, and practice within the scope of a PMHNP
• Answer urgent questions from the team when not on-site and/or after hours
• See an average census of 20 clients 1-2 times per week
• Provide psychiatric assessments and follow-up medication management visits
• Participate in treatment team meetings
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff
• Conduct insurance peer-to-peer reviews as needed

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing on a PMHNP track, at minimum, from an accredited program
• Board Certified by the ANCC as PMHNP
• Current license as APRN or PCNS, or be license-eligible
• Must hold or obtain CPR / BLS certificate prior to providing services
• New graduates are welcome; experience is highly desired, and clinical rotations and/or practica are considered clinical experience
