Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our outpatient private practice based in Ohio and New York. This role is via telehealth with possible in clinic services in the future. In this vital role, you will provide expert mental health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans for diverse patient populations, including children, adolescents and young adults. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through innovative care strategies, medication management, and collaborative practice. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and diagnostic evaluations utilizing clinical research principles.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with HIPAA regulations, DEA guidelines, and collaborative practice agreements to optimize patient care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals across disciplines—such as physicians, therapists, and case managers—to develop integrated treatment plans.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation, medical records management, and patient data tracking.
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to behavioral health services for diverse populations including pediatrics and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Perform physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and patient assessments to inform diagnosis and treatment strategies.
- Engage in patient education on mental health conditions, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and health coaching techniques.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives such as utilization review and infection control protocols to ensure high standards of care.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with valid licensure in Ohio and or New York
- Demonstrated experience working with children highly preferred.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Simple Practice; telehealth experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology including psychopharmacology principles for medication management.
- Familiarity with diagnostic coding systems like ICD-10/ICD-9 and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on compassionate care delivery in behavioral health contexts.
- Knowledge of healthcare laws including HIPAA regulations and Workers' Compensation law is essential for maintaining compliance.

Pay: $75.00 - $150.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
