Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

About This Role

Providing psychiatric evaluations and therapeutic interventions for patients with various mental health conditions is the core of this role. The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will work in an outpatient clinic setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive mental health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for patients with a variety of mental health conditions.
• Provide medication management and brief psychotherapeutic interventions.
• Administer injections for Long-Acting Injectables (LAIs) when necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
• Document the services rendered in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Stay current with advancements in psychiatry through continuing education and professional development.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or one year of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner plus three years as a Nurse Practitioner in any specialty.
• Must be board-certified to practice.
• Must have an active license in the State of Florida.
• Work experience in an outpatient setting preferred.

Important Details

• Schedule: As an Independent Contractor, you will have the choice to determine your working hours. Offices are open Monday-Thursday for in-person and telehealth appointments. Availability to work via telemedicine Friday-Sunday. On-call (phone only) seven days every 5-6 months.
