About the role
Duties
- Establishing and maintaining liaison contacts with personnel from the White House Staff, U.S. military, U.S. State Department, and USSS Headquarters offices, and field offices in order to disseminate protective information.
- Establishing and managing protective trips in Agent Management Personnel Systems (AMPS) and Combined Operations Logistical Database (COLD) to include providing trip notifications, reporting instructions, and scheduled hours; creating, maintaining and archiving trip survey files; preparing monthly statistics and history reports regarding the number of trips for protectees; and resolving any issues regarding charges.
- Providing advice and assistance to management on logistics and operations security; coordinating assignments in support of protective operations and related security functions for protective events; conducting logistical, analytical, and administrative assignments and projects required to support the division on all details; planning and conducting projects related to operational activity.
Qualifications
GS-09: You qualify for the GS-09 level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level performing duties such as: coordinating programs or projects concerning logistics and protective security in support of the Division; controlling internal maintenance and external distribution of draft and completed documents for Division detail assignments; maintaining sensitive information and control records using automated information management systems; monitoring transactions, tracking the timing of actions, verifying costs and changes, and preparing system entries; OR
master's or equivalent graduate degree;or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or
LL.B. or J.D., if related; OR

GS-11: You qualify for the GS-11 level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level performing duties such as: providing advice and assistance to logistics and operational security; coordinates assignments in support of protective operations and related security functions for protective events; conducts logistical, analytical, and administrative assignments and projects required to support the division on foreign and domestic details; OR
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree;or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or
LL.M., if related; OR
A combination of graduate level education and experience. This will be calculated using your resume and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application.
