About This Role
Managing the day-to-day operations of three properties is the core of this role, encompassing leasing, resident relations, budgeting, collections, and coordination with maintenance teams and vendors. This position suits a property manager with experience in multifamily properties.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of assigned properties, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with company policies
- Implement and maintain standardized processes for property management
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct regular tenant communication and community-building activities
- Facilitate the leasing process, including tenant screenings, lease negotiations, and move-in/move-out procedures
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of lease agreements and related documentation
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet quality standards
- Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate preventive maintenance
- Prepare and manage property budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with overall company financial goals
- Monitor and manage rent collection, expenses, and financial reporting
- Liaise with vendors and contractors for property-related services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness
- Negotiate contracts and oversee the performance of third-party service providers
- Stay abreast of relevant local, state, and federal regulations and ensure properties remain in compliance
- Coordinate inspections and address compliance-related matters
Requirements
- 2-3 years of proven experience in multifamily property management
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and other relevant property management laws
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field
