Proofreader, Editorial Team

About This Role

This role involves transforming raw transcripts of technical conversations into polished, error-free content for clients. The Proofreader will join a highly collaborative, global Editorial team, ensuring accuracy, grammatical soundness, and style consistency across various products and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Proofread and edit to ensure each transcript of a technical conversation is accurate, grammatically sound, and aligns with internal guidelines
• Work across different product-specific guidelines and workflows daily
• Turn around high-quality content to strict daily deadlines, always following Compliance and anonymisation requirements
• Research market events, terminology, figures, and other important datapoints/information to confirm accuracy
• Proactively and quickly resolve issues, including collaborating with adjacent content production teams
• Escalate transcription errors and Style Guide misalignments
• Curate brief profiles of experts that highlight the experience most relevant to the piece of content
• Contribute to the development of internal guidelines and processes to continually improve content quality

Requirements

• 3+ years' professional experience in a proofreading/editorial role
• Bachelor's degree
• Be a reactive self-starter who can deliver results independently
• Be able to balance multiple tasks, styles, deadlines, and workflows effectively
• Have a meticulous eye for detail, with outstanding research and proofreading skills
• Have an exceptional command of English spelling, grammar, syntax, and punctuation
• Consider the client experience in your editorial decision-making
• Be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with financial content and business and/or industry-specific terminology
