Project Officer - EdTech

About This Role

This project officer role focuses on supporting European projects related to digital learning, artificial intelligence, and educational technology. The position involves shaping practical approaches to educational technology by integrating technical expertise, research, and policy perspectives.

Responsibilities

• Convene expert groups, consultations, and workshops; synthesize evidence and stakeholder input to develop shared recommendations, specifications, and standards
• Translate educational and policy needs into clear requirements for digital tools and services
• Coordinate activities with partners and technical teams across countries
• Conduct research and analysis on educational technology, AI, and digital learning
• Contribute to wider European project delivery, including funding proposals and communication materials

Requirements

• A degree at bachelor

's level or above, or equivalent relevant experience, in educational technology, information systems, education, computer science or a related field

• Relevant project or research experience in educational technology, digital learning, or the deployment of information systems in education
• A sound understanding of AI

's capabilities, limitations, and implications for education, with experience using AI tools critically and responsibly in research or project work

• The ability to collaborate effectively with researchers, policymakers, educators, and software developers
• Strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly
• Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote team
• Full professional fluency in English and basic knowledge of at least two other European languages

Nice to have:

• Convening expert groups or facilitating consensus on recommendations, technical specifications, or standards
• Familiarity with technical standards used in education, such as those supporting digital credentials, learning data, or interoperability, or with the organizations and stakeholder networks that develop and implement them
• Technical knowledge of software development, data models
