Project Manager / Senior Project Manager

About This Role

This role is for a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead various highways and infrastructure projects for a client in Gloucestershire. The successful candidate will join a team based in the client's office, supporting their teams directly and sharing delivery objectives. This is an opportunity to contribute to an ambitious program of projects aimed at maintaining and enhancing the transport network and boosting the economy across the county.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the project management process
• Encourage teams to deliver the right solutions to the agreed program and mentor less experienced colleagues by reviewing their work
• Prioritise client satisfaction by building and maintaining strong relationships with GCC
• Form trusting relationships with colleagues to ensure effective coordination for mutually beneficial outcomes
• Manage resources effectively and efficiently to meet fluctuating workloads, including remote resources
• Work with clients and design teams to deliver compliant designs on time and within budget, meeting H&S, CDM, QA, and technical review requirements
• Develop relationships with other WSP teams to utilise additional resources as required
• Agree fees and manage the commercial position on projects
• Produce project controls reports to meet client and business requirements
• Develop, maintain, and implement stakeholder management plans
• Ensure invoicing and cash collection are undertaken in accordance with business processes and procedures

Requirements

• Experience of working within the Civils/Highways sector in either project management and/or business administration and financial planning
• Experience in managing a range of project management activities, systems (including enterprise resource planning), and processes
• Strong organisational skills and excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of Construction Design Management 2015 and associated duties
• Experience in project and resource management with good financial and commercial awareness

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of NEC 4 and qualification
