About the role
Field Validation & Repower Program Coordinator
Andiamo is hiring on behalf of a client seeking a highly organized and technically capable Field Validation & Repower Program Coordinator to lead critical field-testing initiatives within the heavy equipment, engine, and OEM manufacturing space.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong project leadership skills with hands-on mechanical knowledge and real-world experience working with engines, vehicle systems, and equipment integrations. You will serve as the central hub connecting engineering teams, product stakeholders, field personnel, and external partners to ensure complex validation programs are executed successfully from planning through completion.
This is a high-visibility position that requires technical credibility, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams simultaneously while operating in a fast-paced, globally connected environment.
Position Overview
As the Field Validation & Repower Program Coordinator, you will oversee field testing activities for advanced engine and vehicle programs, ensuring alignment between technical objectives, project schedules, validation requirements, and stakeholder expectations.
A significant component of this role involves managing and coordinating equipment repower initiatives, including engine installation, integration, validation, troubleshooting, and field support activities. Success requires a deep understanding of how engines interact with chassis systems, controls, supporting components, and overall vehicle architecture.
You will collaborate with both domestic and international teams, helping drive execution while proactively identifying risks, removing obstacles, and maintaining momentum across critical milestones.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Field Testing & Validation Leadership
- Coordinate and oversee field validation activities for ongoing equipment and engine development programs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for field execution, ensuring alignment between engineering, product, operations, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and drive timely resolution of issues impacting schedules or deliverables.
- Track validation activities, test results, action items, and project milestones while maintaining clear visibility for all stakeholders.
- Ensure testing objectives are completed according to established timelines and program requirements.
Engine Repower Project Execution
- Lead coordination efforts for engine repower projects involving existing vehicles and equipment platforms.
- Support installation, integration, validation, and troubleshooting activities associated with repower events.
- Work directly with technical teams to ensure engines are successfully integrated into equipment chassis and surrounding systems.
- Provide hands-on coordination during key field events, helping manage execution, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.
- Apply practical knowledge of engine systems, vehicle architecture, and OEM integration requirements to support successful deployments.
Project Management & Stakeholder Coordination
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives involving engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, field teams, and external partners.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, action plans, status updates, and communication plans.
- Facilitate meetings, track deliverables, and ensure accountability across all participating teams.
- Balance competing priorities while maintaining focus on overall program success.
- Escalate risks, constraints, and resource challenges before they impact critical milestones.
Communication & Leadership
- Act as a trusted liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide consistent updates on project status, risks, mitigation plans, and outcomes.
- Influence cross-functional teams without direct authority to drive alignment and execution.
- Maintain strong relationships with domestic and international partners to support successful collaboration.
- Communicate effectively across multiple organizational levels and disciplines.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing technical projects involving engines, vehicles, heavy equipment, powertrain systems, or OEM applications.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle repower projects, including engine installation, integration, and validation activities.
- Strong understanding of engine operation, vehicle systems, chassis integration, and OEM equipment environments.
- Proven project management experience, including planning, coordination, execution, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and proactively drive projects forward.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in technical environments.
Preferred Attributes
- Background supporting field testing, validation programs, or product development initiatives.
- Experience working within OEM, engine manufacturing, heavy equipment, transportation, or industrial machinery industries.
- Strong ability to diagnose issues, coordinate troubleshooting efforts, and drive corrective actions.
- Comfort working with geographically dispersed and international teams.
- Ability to thrive in environments where priorities evolve and rapid decision-making is required.
Work Environment & Travel
- Primarily onsite position.
- Typical working hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Occasional after-hours collaboration may be required to support international stakeholders and global project teams.
- Domestic travel is required, along with occasional travel to Canada for field support, validation activities, and repower events.
- Specific travel locations and schedules will be shared during the interview process.
Who Will Excel in This Role?
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who naturally takes ownership, stays organized under pressure, and thrives when coordinating complex technical projects involving multiple stakeholders. You bring both mechanical credibility and project leadership expertise, allowing you to confidently navigate conversations ranging from engineering details to executive-level project updates.
If you enjoy solving real-world technical challenges, leading field execution efforts, and driving mission-critical programs to successful completion, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact within a highly collaborative engineering environment.
