Project Manager (IT)

About This Role

This role involves leading enterprise-wide, cross-functional IT projects with a focus on data integration, ETL work, and high-end reporting, often centered around the company's Enterprise Data Warehouse. It suits an experienced project manager who can lead multiple strategic projects within the Enterprise Data Solutions Portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of 4-6 large, complex IT project solutions
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget
• Lead IT project team, composed primarily of dedicated AI professionals
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders within IT and business to clearly articulate scope boundaries and quantify business value to be delivered
• Represent the project in various governance and inter-departmental forums
• Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle and oversee project delivery within DaVita's project delivery framework
• Publish the project charter and project closeout report
• Publish the project budget and staffing plan
• Create and maintain the project schedule
• Process project change requests, as needed
• Develop and implement project communication plan
• Regularly report project status
• Manage and report upon project budget
• Validate financial forecasts from lane leads
• Track actual spend, accruals, and forecast spend
• Publish monthly budget forecasts
• Manage variance between planned and actual spend
• Manage budget contingency
• Approve project labor
• Maintain project staffing plan in partnership with lane leads
• Proactively manage project risks and issues
• Identify and resolve blockers raised by the project team
• Appropriately escalate project issues to AI Leadership, PMO Leadership, and ultimately to IT Senior Leadership as needed, to keep projects on-track

• Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of project sponsors and key stakeholders
• Entrepreneurial mindset, focused on delivering business value, comfortable with evolving business needs, who thrives in a dynamic work environment
• Polished executive communication skills, comfortable collaborating with Senior IT Leaders and Business Executives to define, plan, and deliver complex projects
• Collaborative leader, who models personal empowerment and personal ownership to their project team, to help the team achieve more than they could without the PM's leadership
• Solid understanding of Project Management Best Practices
• Comfortable building project budgets, collaboratively developing project schedules, managing project change, and delivering project status
