About the role
We're seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer / Project Manager to lead capital engineering projects from concept through completion for power generation and energy infrastructure facilities. Ideal candidates will have experience managing electrical construction projects involving protection relays, transformers, GSU's, motors, commissioning, and power systems equipment .
Responsibilities:
- Manage capital projects from initiation through closeout
- Oversee budgets, schedules, contractors, vendors, and procurement activities
- Lead installation, testing, commissioning, and startup activities
- Review engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation
- Perform field visits and monitor project execution and safety compliance
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, environmental, and construction teams
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred)
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- 2+ years of project management experience
- Experience leading electrical projects with a construction background
- Utility, power generation, energy, or oil & gas industry experience
- Knowledge of protection relays, transformers, motors, GSU's, and commissioning activities
- Valid Driver's License
- Microsoft Office proficiency (SAP preferred)
Preferred:
- EIT or FE Certification
- PMP Certification
- PE License
