Project Manager - Construction

About This Role

This Project Manager role is with an established commercial General Contractor, managing high-quality construction projects across various markets. The position suits a construction professional with a strong background in commercial projects who can lead through all project phases.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously
• Lead projects through preconstruction, procurement, construction, and closeout
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and owners
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
• Monitor project financial performance and prepare monthly cost reports
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, quality standards, and safety requirements
• Conduct owner meetings and provide regular project updates
• Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers
• Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects for a General Contractor
• Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and contract administration
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with healthcare, higher education, laboratory, institutional, commercial, or interior fit-out projects
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or Primavera P6
