Project Manager

About This Role

This role is for an experienced Project Manager to lead HVAC and plumbing projects from preconstruction through closeout. It is an opportunity to take real ownership of complex projects, work with an established client base, and join a business investing heavily in its continued growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial HVAC and plumbing projects from planning through commissioning and closeout
• Take ownership of project budgets, schedules, quality, safety, and profitability
• Review contracts, estimates, drawings, and specifications to establish project scope
• Monitor job costs, forecasts, labor productivity, and cost-to-complete reporting
• Manage field teams, subcontractors, procurement, and equipment releases
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, clients, vendors, and internal departments
• Identify project risks and resolve issues before they affect delivery
• Lead project meetings and provide clear reporting to senior management
• Build lasting relationships with general contractors, owners, and project partners

Requirements

• 7+ years of construction project management experience
• Strong background with a commercial mechanical contractor
• Experience delivering HVAC, plumbing, or piping projects
• Knowledge of budgeting, job costing, forecasting, and cost control
• Experience managing field labor, subcontractors, and procurement
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, contracts, and project schedules
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Construction Management or Engineering degree preferred; equivalent industry experience considered
