Duties
- Serves as a project manager for a variety of pharmaceutical analysis team-based projects.
- Manage activities of the team, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and official records of meetings, tracking tasks and project milestones, and holding project briefings with senior management or other groups as appropriate.
- Assign tasks to members and work with all members of the team to develop project plans, including setting time frames, milestones, and agreed upon work products.
- Identify project activities that may adversely impact project and advise supervisors, team members, and management.
- Facilitate timely completion of project activities and attainment of project goals with established project plans and performance goals set up the team or management.
- Represent organization on task forces, working groups, and committees.
- Provide expertise on organizational and management issues and keep management informed on activities that may impact organization.
- Provide project management support for committee, communication or other meetings as requested by management.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for Project Manager, GS-0301-14, you must meet the following: Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service managing and/or leading the activities in the area of pharmaceutical analysis that included: planning through a project life-cycle, tracking and reporting of assigned projects, evaluating projects to ensure performance, effectiveness and efficiency; identifying issues and providing resolutions to team members and/or management on concerns or conflict affecting projects.
Education
