Duties
If selected for this position, you will:
- Serve as the leader of the project team and be responsible for all activities of the project/program.
- Manage projects throughout the full project life-cycle, including the planning, budgeting, requirements development, design, development and implementation phases.
- Coordinate project activities with the stakeholders and team. Work with stakeholders in researching and analyzing their needs to identify solutions for senior management.
- Update Center management on projects and their status.
- Write project descriptions including explanations of the business need for the project, the project milestone schedule, dependencies, stakeholders/beneficiaries, risks and risk mitigation strategies, and other project information.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for the Project Management Officer, GS-0301-14, you must meet the following:
Have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service to include applying project management methodologies/methods to solve project challenges.
