Project Engineer

About This Role

This Project Engineer role involves bringing electrical knowledge to power distribution projects from design through implementation and handover. The projects primarily focus on data center fit-outs but can extend to other large, complex projects requiring system integration. The role coordinates all engineering activities, including designing, developing, and controlling electrical systems for customer projects, working as an integral part of the project execution team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the technical scope of projects, including review and coordination with all relevant internal and external stakeholders from tendering to close-out
• Ensure technical alignment between projects and coordinate with customers
• Support the Project Manager in managing technical risk by ensuring rapid sharing of lessons learned and coordinating approaches for maximum effect
• Analyze technical drawings, interpret specifications, and determine the electrical requirements of a given project
• Coordinate and liaise with Eaton engineers (Application engineers, Product engineers, Power system engineer, Cx team, Quality engineers) and clients to ensure overall project execution
• Provide and manage technical documentation and techsubs (SLD, Layout, Site Methods, Cx process and sequence) for any required projects
• Manage and monitor all assigned electrical projects to ensure documentation is delivered on time
• Ensure health and safety codes are obeyed at all times
• Complete quality assurance on electrical components and projects, and write up reports
• Support Root Cause Analysis

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in electrical design from a system perspective (MV/LV)
• Experience in Datacenter construction projects, UPS, automation, or power distribution is a plus
• Knowledgeable in basic electrical calculation, CAD, writing specifications and procedures
• Able to work in an international and geographically decentralized project team
• Comfortable providing technical presentations to peers, customers, and leadership regarding the details of technical issues
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to do Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to understand and resolve problems
• English is a must
• Able to travel within the EMEA region without any restrictions
