Project Engineer

About This Role

This Project Engineer role supports the successful delivery of construction projects, working independently with knowledge of project activities. The role involves collaborating with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements, timelines, and quality standards are met. It contributes to efficient project execution by monitoring progress, identifying issues, and recommending solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance with project goals
• Maintain regular field presence to support safe work execution, including attendance at safety meetings such as stretch and flex and engagement in high-risk activity planning and controls
• Coordinate with project managers and project teams to address standard technical questions and resolve general project issues
• Monitor standard project schedules and budgets, track labor productivity, and report variances to support timely corrective actions based on established guidelines
• Support the implementation of standard quality assurance and safety protocols throughout all project phases
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports and technical records
• Identify opportunities for incremental improvements and contribute to the development of leading practices with guidance
• Participate in project meetings and communicate updates to team members and stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, a related field, or equivalent experience
• 0 - 4 years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering, or a related field
• Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Construction certification within 6 months of hire
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and must not require current or future sponsorship for employment visa status
