Project Coordinator - Switchgear

About This Role

Coordinating switchgear projects from the initial purchase order through to successful delivery is the main focus of this role. The Project Coordinator acts as a liaison between the company and the customer, handling all internal project coordination and external communication. This position suits a solution-driven individual eager to contribute to a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate switchgear projects from purchase order through delivery and project closeout
• Communicate project scope, requirements, timelines, and status updates with customers and internal teams
• Partner with quotations, outside sales, manufacturers, and manufacturer representatives to keep projects moving
• Track switchgear orders, submittals, approvals, lead times, manufacturing schedules, and delivery dates
• Provide timely project status updates to customers and internal stakeholders
• Work with manufacturers and representatives to address delivery changes, product questions, and project needs
• Manage change orders and communicate project changes to the appropriate teams
• Maintain accurate and organized project files, documentation, and key project information
• Identify potential roadblocks and proactively work with the appropriate partners to develop solutions
• Coordinate and help ensure customer expectations are aligned throughout the process
• Confirm invoicing and receiving are complete prior to project closeout
• Occasionally meet with customers to review expectations, timelines, deliveries, and project updates

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate
• 1+ years of administrative experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines
• A teamwork attitude and willingness to learn and jump in wherever needed to keep projects moving
• A growth-oriented approach
• The ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment without losing focus on quality
• A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems before they escalate
• Attention to detail and skill to track progress
• Proven ability to manage timelines, resources and deliverables across multiple projects simultaneously
• Problem-solving skills and computer skills
