Project Coordinator

About This Role

Coordinating projects is the main function of this role, ensuring the success of projects under the coordinator's responsibility. The Project Coordinator works under the supervision of a Project Manager, supporting major commercial, industrial, and institutional building projects, as well as civil engineering structures.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications, prepare startup documents, and transmit specific requirements to site teams
• Participate in planning and monitoring schedules
• Conduct site visits, report discrepancies regarding work progress and compliance, and participate in site meetings
• Coordinate exchanges with professionals, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Monitor QRTs, technical sheets, directives, and revisions
• Prepare, with the support of the Project Manager, calls for tenders and price requests, compare bids, negotiate according to established parameters, and prepare purchase orders for approval
• Monitor supplies and deliveries, as well as administrative and contractual documents from subcontractors
• Ensure correspondence, document management, and updates on Procore and other platforms
• Prepare final site completion and provisional and final acceptance documents, then ensure project closure and archiving

Requirements

• College diploma (DEC) in architectural technology or a related field combined with 2 years of experience, OR a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, building engineering, mechanical building engineering, or structural engineering
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a construction, engineering, or project management environment
• Rigor, initiative, organizational skills, and effective priority management
• Good communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
• Knowledge of Procore and Maestro (an asset)
