Project Analyst

About This Role

Project accounting and general bookkeeping are the core of this role, which supports a growing residential builder and developer. The Project Analyst will act as a liaison between the Construction and Accounting teams, maintaining accurate project financials, identifying budget variances, and providing clear visibility into project performance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process construction draw requests
• Track accounts receivable and outstanding draws
• Reconcile project budgets against actual costs
• Prepare budget variance reports
• Maintain Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting
• Assist with cost-to-complete reporting
• Analyze project financials and identify discrepancies or emerging variances
• Coordinate with Construction and Accounting to maintain accurate project-level reporting
• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and QuickBooks Online entries
• Code and categorize project and company transactions
• Assist with accounts payable and vendor payments
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with month-end reconciliations and reporting
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records

Requirements

• 2–4 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or project accounting experience preferred
• Construction or real estate accounting experience preferred
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working across construction operations and accounting
• Able to manage multiple projects and recurring deadlines
