Role Overview The Progressive Care Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers, focusing on pre- and post-operative nursing for cardiac and medical-surgical patients. They assess patient conditions, perform procedures, document care, administer medications, and monitor responses to ensure optimal outcomes. The RN advocates for patients to enhance their experience and supports clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and report patient status during admission and shifts.
- Perform procedures and follow provider orders.
- Maintain thorough documentation of care.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
- Stay informed on medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to cardiac and surgical care.
Qualifications & Skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS or instructor certification within 30 days.
- NIHSS Stroke Certification within 30 days.
