About the role

Duties

Serves as the Program Specialist (MDSSO) Mobilization and Deployment/Stability Support Operations, which provides operations and mobilization support services to US Army Installation management Command and regional offices: Serves as primary action officer and point of contact for coordinating and completing staff actions; The incumbent accomplishes special assignments that involve studies and inspections to develop new or modified methods for operations. Ensures all operational and training support data is current and coordinated with HQDA proponents. Provides ARSTAFF and IMCOM leadership with recommendations that are logical, accurate and complete; Working knowledge of the Army Disaster Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (ADPAAS) Case Manager accounting for personnel and families members after catastrophe. Knowledge of Army Disaster Personnel accountability and assessment system (ADPAAS) Case Management and Army Community Service Client Tracking System (CTS).

Experience required: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Comprehensive knowledge of base operations support to mobilization and demobilization. Plans and executes training of Mobilization and Deployment staff; reviews and updates Family Readiness Group training materials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-12

 

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:

·        Knowledge of Deployment/Mobilization

·        Skill in Evaluating Programs

·        Knowledge of federal planning policy and guidance to include publications applicable to the functional area.

·        Knowledge of a wide range of federal and agency deployment/mobilization

·        Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information. 

 

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the GS-12 grade (or equivalent).
