About the role
Duties
In this position, you will serve as a Federal Acquisition Certification – Contracting Officer's Representative (FAC-COR) Level II, providing government oversight to contractors for projects; monitoring and reporting on contractor performance; and developing acquisition packages, including statements of work (SOWs) and independent government cost estimates (IGCEs),
with minimal oversight. Typical assignments include:
- Representing the agency in meetings concerning technical issues and preparing a record of pertinent facts
- Advising the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and Contracting Officer (CO) of the need to issue change orders, developing the government's estimate for an equitable adjustment, and assisting in evaluating any contractor claims
- Reviewing contractor invoices and working in close association with the COR regarding advance payment requests; monitoring the contractor's compliance with the submission requirements
- Reviewing and monitoring progress reports and work plans
- Participating with decision-makers at the branch level in setting organizational goals and objectives
- Drafting and reviewing statements of work, performance work statements, technical evaluations, acquisition plans and source selection plans
