Planning and executing the deployment of Optimus data collection initiatives is the core of this Program Manager role, focusing on identifying optimal locations and coordinating complex deployments. The position requires continuous improvement of operational processes with a strong emphasis on cross-collaboration and team success.
Responsibilities
Travel to and scope potential locations for Optimus data collection initiatives, evaluating sites for technical feasibility, safety, and data quality potential
Drive cross-collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to gather status updates, resolve blockers, and maintain accurate tracking within the project management platform
Take end-to-end ownership of initiatives with holistic project thinking, ensuring seamless coordination from scoping through execution and follow-up
Schedule external-facing initiatives and manage complex calendars across multiple teams and partners
Identify opportunities to automate processes and optimize current workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and quality
Proactively find areas where resources and partnerships can be leveraged to scale future data collection initiatives
Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality when handling sensitive deployment details, partner information, and Tesla IP
Requirements
Strong organization skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-moving environment
Demonstrated experience in cross-collaboration and putting team success above individual success
Customer-facing or sales experience is highly valued – ability to build strong external relationships and represent Tesla professionally
Excellent scheduling and coordination skills with a track record of managing complex, multi-party initiatives
Experience identifying and implementing process automation and optimization opportunities
Comfort with frequent travel and the ability to quickly evaluate and adapt to new environments
High degree of confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of work
First-principles approach to problem solving with end-to-end holistic project thinking
