Program Manager – Healthcare Compliance (Corporate Compliance | Hospital & Health System) | Walnut Creek, CA (Onsite)
A leading integrated healthcare system in California is seeking a Program Manager – Compliance to support the development, execution, and monitoring of its enterprise-wide Compliance Program across hospitals, physician networks, behavioral health, and affiliated foundations.
About the role
Reporting to the Vice President / Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer , the Program Manager plays a key role in ensuring the effective day-to-day operation of the organisation’s Compliance Program and supporting regulatory integrity across a large healthcare system.
This is a 100% onsite role in Walnut Creek, California .
Key responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing oversight of the Compliance Program across multiple healthcare entities
- Contribute to compliance operations including policy implementation, auditing, monitoring, and investigations
- Support regulatory education and training initiatives across the organisation
- Assist with corrective action planning and follow-up processes
- Monitor compliance risks and escalate issues appropriately within governance frameworks
- Ensure accurate documentation, tracking, and reporting of compliance activities
- Collaborate with leadership to strengthen compliance culture and operational effectiveness
- Support continuous improvement of compliance processes and program maturity
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, Public Health, or related field
- Equivalent healthcare compliance experience may substitute for education (year-for-year basis)
Experience
- 3–5 years of healthcare compliance experience required
- Experience within a hospital, health system, or provider environment strongly preferred
- Direct experience supporting compliance programs including:
- Auditing & monitoring
- Policy implementation
- Investigations
- Regulatory education
- Corrective action follow-up
Certification
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) preferred or required within 12 months of hire
Skills & competencies
- Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and organisational skills
- High attention to detail with strong documentation and tracking capability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Experience influencing and working with cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to build trust and collaborate across clinical and administrative teams
- Strong judgement with ability to escalate issues appropriately
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AI productivity tools (e.g., Copilot)

- Competitive salary range: $118,159 – $177,238 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
