About This Role
This Program Manager role focuses on Commercial Operations, transforming commercial infrastructure into a revenue accelerator. It involves building and executing operational leverage to help the company maintain velocity as it scales, managing and enhancing processes that support rapid product growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance processes that support rapid product growth
- Play a central role on the team that runs programs for Commercial Launches
- Evolve an established launch motion into a scalable, well-instrumented program
- Run launches end-to-end through the Commercial launch process
- Lead intake and scoping for your portfolio of launches
- Translate each launch into its commercial-readiness requirements (pricing, billing, tax, marketplace, compliance and selling motions)
- Collaborate with product teams to develop paths to launch
- Identify where launches slow down today and drive resolution to prevent them from recurring
- Propose and implement process and system changes
- Clarify ownership and drive completion across partner teams like Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and GTM
- Build specific program components that do not exist yet (launch tiering, readiness criteria, playbooks, templates, SLAs)
- Develop training that shifts programs from late-stage gatekeeper to early-stage partner
- Take ownership of major program-improvement workstreams such as instrumentation (pipeline visibility, readiness scorecards, guides, throughput and cycle-time metrics) or workflow tooling and automation (intake, tracking, approvals, status) in partnership with Engineering and systems teams
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, and GTM teams to design clear interfaces and processes that span multiple teams
Requirements
- Experience building and running new product introduction processes
- Experience building capabilities and solutions that enable launching in new ways, from pricing to geographies
- 10+ years of experience in operations, with demonstrated success in billing, payments, or commercial operations (high-volume SaaS experience a plus)
- Strong working knowledge of billing systems, subscription management, and payments platforms
- Proven track record of building and scaling operational programs in high-growth environments — taking things from 0-1 and then scaling beyond
- Willing to roll up your sleeves and do the operational work of building while also leading a team
- Experience with automation initiatives and partnering with engineering teams to build operational tooling
- Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and the ability to demonstrate ROI on operational programs
