About the role

Program Director II - Day Programming

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:00pm, Staff Meetings once a month on 3rd Thursday of Month 3:30pm-4:30pm

The Program Director II – Day Programming is a dynamic leadership role responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of day program operations. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services that promote engagement, independence, and well-being for program participants. The Director will lead a team of dedicated staff, manage operational resources, and foster strong relationships with families, community partners, and regulatory agencies.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and implement engaging, person-centered programming tailored to participant needs and interests.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and continuously improve service delivery.
  • Oversee budgets, contracts, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting systems.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise program staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and performance evaluations.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for families, ensuring transparent communication and responsive support.
  • Advocate for participant needs within the organization and broader community.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, community organizations, and internal departments to enhance program visibility and impact.
  • Represent the program in public forums and stakeholder meetings.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Standard driver’s license – class C or class D
  • 3 – 5 years of related experience
