About the role

  • Campus-based position at an Alpha location: Dallas, TX
  • Oklahoma City, OK
  • Austin, TX
  • Keller (Fort Worth), TX
  • The Woodlands (Houston), TX
  • $150,000 annual W2 compensation, distributed weekly. Health benefits begin immediately.
  • Support for relocation provided

The most meaningful support you can give a student who achieves 99% is to tell them it isn't enough.

Not because perfection is the goal. Because believing in someone's capacity for more is one of the highest forms of respect.

Traditional schools shield students from setbacks. Alpha equips them for achievement. We know that confidence doesn't emerge from reduced expectations. It develops when students accomplish what they previously believed impossible. That principle informs everything we do.

Our approach is intentionally distinct. Students achieve academic mastery independently through AI-driven platforms, which allows adults to concentrate on work that transforms lives: guiding character development, cultivating resilience, fostering leadership, and establishing habits that produce exceptional results. We don't require adults to transmit information. We require leaders who understand how to unlock human potential.

This position anchors that vision. You'll cultivate the Guides who engage directly with students, transforming them into outstanding coaches rather than traditional instructors. You'll facilitate life skills sessions that students carry with them for years. You'll analyze performance metrics to pinpoint where students or Guides need support and guide them toward excellence. You'll also manage your own student group, ensuring the expectations you set are the standards you demonstrate.

The multiplier effect is substantial. Each Guide you develop influences dozens of students. Every enhancement you implement in campus culture amplifies across hundreds of young lives. Success isn't defined by meeting attendance or documentation volume. It's defined by whether students grow more confident, more disciplined, more resilient, and more capable through the culture you helped establish.

This position isn't designed for someone invested in maintaining conventional education systems. It's designed for someone who believes young people deserve more than compliance, attendance hours, and mediocre standards. If you're motivated by guiding people through substantial challenges, leveraging data for improved decisions, and maintaining elevated standards because you genuinely trust others can reach them, you'll excel here.

Apply if you're prepared to cultivate a culture where excellence is the baseline, coaching transforms lives, and students realize they're capable of achievements beyond their expectations.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Develop and mentor Guides to execute Alpha's coaching framework with reliability, enthusiasm, and rigorous standards.
  • Facilitate compelling life skills sessions addressing communication, concentration, feedback, leadership, and resilience for students in grades K-8 using established frameworks.
  • Analyze student and Guide performance metrics to recognize coaching needs, eliminate obstacles, and produce quantifiable progress weekly.
  • Conduct motivational sessions that empower each student to embrace challenging goals and reliably accomplish them.
  • Oversee your own student group while exemplifying the coaching quality and responsibility you require from all Guides.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Instructing academic content. Students complete core academics autonomously via AI-powered educational platforms.
  • Developing lesson plans or constructing curriculum. Your focus is outstanding coaching, not producing teaching materials.
  • Controlling classrooms through lectures, assignments, or behavioral frameworks. Students direct their learning, and you coach the practices that enable achievement.
  • Reducing standards to sidestep challenging discussions. Elevated expectations and authentic confidence in each student's capabilities are inseparable.
  • Defining success by volume of activity rather than impact. Outcomes carry more weight than effort by itself.

Program Director Key Responsibilities Establish a coaching environment where outstanding Guides reliably develop students who are enthusiastic about school, achieve academic mastery at accelerated rates, and cultivate the resilience, leadership, and life competencies necessary for success well beyond the classroom.
