Joining the team as a Professional Pet Sitter means helping clients and pets of all walks of life. This job is perfect for individuals with a passion for pets and professional experience, offering services like drop-ins, overnights, 24-hour extended stays, and dog walking.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily pet sitting services, including feeding, walking, administering medication, and companionship
- Handle animals with confidence using proper tools and handling techniques to ensure safety for pets and yourself
- Reinforce training activities established by owners to promote good behavior and socialization
- Recognize signs of veterinary concerns or distress in animals and communicate effectively with pet owners and management
- Assist with pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to keep pets comfortable and healthy, if asked for and added on by the owner
Requirements
- Prior experience in pet sitting, animal care, or related fields such as veterinary technician or assistant roles is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling skills is preferred
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and reassure them while they are away
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
