About This Role
Operating injection molding machines to produce gaskets for lithium-ion EV batteries is the primary focus of this production role. The worker will be responsible for safely and effectively operating machinery to meet daily production targets, conducting quality assurance checks, and making adjustments as needed. This position suits someone comfortable with inspecting large machinery and manipulating computer console settings.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor equipment used in the production process
- Be responsible for line performance regarding output and uptime
- Ensure production processes remain compliant with Quality Policies and initiate appropriate measures in case of deviations
- Demonstrate compliance with established procedures and safety measures
- Clean and maintain machines and equipment
- Assist with troubleshooting general equipment issues as they arise
- Write reports and complete checklists
- Digitally document process and quality data
- Handle products and materials, perform packaging, and prepare shipments
- Clean and maintain machines, equipment, and production areas, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Identify opportunities for quality, safety, and efficiency improvements, and proactively propose solutions
- Perform equipment checks
- Perform mold tooling maintenance as needed
- Assist with other tasks and projects during downtime or when primary responsibilities are completed, which may include supporting other departments
Requirements
- High school diploma or higher
- At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing
- At least 1 year of experience operating machinery and using tools
- Some knowledge of occupational health and safety best practices
- Visual acuity to read small text, identify product defects, and monitor the production line
- Ability to work effectively in a noisy environment
- Comfortable standing and working for long periods at a time
- Willingness to wear proper equipment such as company-issued uniform and other protective gear
