As a Manufacturing Team Lead, you will serve as a pivotal mentor and guide for a production team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in driving operational success by empowering your team, optimizing workflows, and ensuring that safety and quality standards are consistently met.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily huddles to align the team on production targets, safety protocols, and quality expectations.
- Onboard and mentor new staff members to ensure they are fully integrated and proficient in their roles.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by collaborating with team members to identify and implement process efficiencies.
- Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track area performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Maintain rigorous standards through 5S audits, standard work documentation, and regular safety observations.
- Utilize SAP systems to manage production workflows and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Act as a primary point of contact for conflict resolution and team support, escalating complex issues to management as needed.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to a servant-leadership mindset and team development.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to audit and maintain standard operating procedures.
