About This Role
Supervising production staff in the fabrication and processing of Aerospace Transparency materials is the core of this role. This position is for a 2nd shift and reports to the Production Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
- Work as a team with functional area supervisors and managers to accomplish objectives and meet customer requirements of quality, service and performance expectations
- Responsible for identifying and eliminating waste in all phases of the production processes
- Train, cross-train and maintain proficiency records of employees
- Identify and recommend proper staffing levels based on production needs
- Apply lean manufacturing and SPC principles
- Maintain inventory control and accuracy
- Supervise the shift production teams
- Ensure that each team member adheres to all company policies and procedures regarding safety, health, and the environment and that vital training programs are in place to ensure that all applicable standards are met
- Encourage a continuous improvement of individual and team performance
- Coordinate work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to improve efficiency
Requirements
- Only US Citizens, Green card holders, political asylees, or refugees are eligible to apply
- Must be willing and able to obtain a secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of leadership experience
- High school diploma and 5+ years of leadership experience required
- Familiarity with AS9100, lean manufacturing principles, and kaizen events
