About the role

Job Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily manufacturing operations to ensure that production targets, quality standards, delivery requirements, safety rules, and company procedures are consistently achieved.

The position will oversee production personnel, monitor production processes, identify operational issues, and ensure that automotive parts are manufactured according to approved specifications and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Operations

  • Supervise daily production activities and ensure achievement of production targets and schedules.
  • Monitor manpower, machines, materials, and production processes to ensure smooth operations.
  • Allocate manpower and assign work based on production requirements and employee capabilities.
  • Monitor production output, productivity, downtime, and process efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and other departments to resolve production issues.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement appropriate corrective actions to improve productivity.
  • Ensure proper implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

2. Quality Control

  • Ensure that products meet approved specifications, drawings, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor quality checkpoints throughout the production process.
  • Work closely with the Quality Department to address defects, non-conformities, and customer complaints.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure proper segregation and disposition of defective or non-conforming products.
  • Promote quality awareness and adherence to automotive manufacturing standards among production personnel.
  • Monitor process parameters and ensure compliance with established quality standards.

3. People Management

  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate production operators and team leaders.
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings and production briefings.
  • Ensure proper employee attendance, discipline, and compliance with company policies.
  • Identify training needs and recommend appropriate training for production personnel.
  • Promote teamwork, productivity, and continuous improvement within the production team.

4. Safety and Workplace Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable occupational safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and immediately address unsafe conditions or practices.

    • 5. Reporting and Documentation

    • Prepare daily and periodic production reports.
    • Monitor and report production performance, quality issues, downtime, and manpower utilization.
    • Maintain accurate production records and other required documentation.
    • Escalate major production, quality, safety, or equipment issues to management.
    • Participate in production meetings and performance reviews.

    6. Continuous Improvement

    • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, cost, and production efficiency.
    • Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Analyze production data and recommend process improvements.
    • Help reduce scrap, rework, downtime, and production losses.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in production/manufacturing operations, preferably in the automotive parts manufacturing industry.
    • At least 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
    • Strong experience in production operations and quality control.
    • Experience in automotive manufacturing processes, production systems, and quality standards is highly preferred.
    • Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and basic problem-solving/root-cause analysis.
    • Familiarity with production documentation, work instructions, inspection standards, and quality procedures.
    • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Willing to work on shifting schedules, overtime, weekends, or holidays when required by production operations.

    • Automotive parts manufacturing processes
    • Production planning and manpower allocation
    • Quality inspection and defect control
    • Root Cause Analysis / 5 Why / Fishbone
    • 5S and Kaizen
    • Lean Manufacturing
    • Production KPI monitoring
    • Basic knowledge of ISO/IATF quality management systems
    • Basic knowledge of safety and occupational health requirements
    • Microsoft Office / Excel

    Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php35,000.00 per month
