- POSITION SUMMARY
Working in Film Coat and UD Department, you will be under the direct supervision of a Team Leader and above them, area supervisor.
Producing coated film and / or unidirectional material in line with customer requirements.
The role is all about team work as both film coat and UD machines are run as a team with each person carrying out a specific task.
Once trained this will vary as you progress so that you learn the skills to become a fully skilled operator across all equipment in the area.
- MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Your role is to be part of the team running both film coat and unidirectional machines. This will involve the following tasks:
Film Coating (Film Coat 2 & Film Coat 3)
As well as the B grade duties listed below A grade operators must also cover responsibilities in the box directly below

RESPONSIBILITIES

To maintain the highest standard of professional, ethical and safe behavior. Adhering to the company’s Code of Conduct policy

Maintaining a high standard of health and safety throughout the production environment, to include general housekeeping including 5C standards and safety observations, adhering to the site specific PPE requirements in various production areas

To provide cover for colleagues, when required.

Observe and practice site safety and security at all times

Responsible for the quality of the products within your designated production area (inspection training will be given)

Working within a team to ensure that the daily production plan is met or exceeded.

Test operations of machinery including safety circuits periodically
-
Set up/changeover machines in line with SMED methodology
-
Maintain routine production paperwork as well as digital spreadsheets

REQUIREMENTS
-
This position requires a person with good time management, self-motivation, numerate and accurate. Good computer skills.

A working knowledge of working with hazardous goods
-
Must be highly organised and disciplined, a team player with good communication skills and be self-motivated.

Ability to work under pressure.

Good attention to detail

Proactive and self-motivated

Able to work to deadlines and changing priorities.

IT Skills - preferably SAP

Ability to work collaboratively across all departments

A reasonable degree of physical stamina and strength to be able to work in a fast moving production environment

To work the existing shift pattern within Site 4 as driven by current business needs

The ability to switch between various production departments based on business needs

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOW HOW

Working experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
