SUMMARY: The role is responsible for coordinating Production schedules and material planning to ensure the timely availability of materials and efficient manufacturing operations. The role
maintains accurate planning data, supports inventory control and monitors production requirements.
Additional responsibilities include calculation and submission of APDP and EPA Declarations ensuring
compliance with the Automotive Industry requirements.
POSITION INFO: REQUIREMENTS: Diploma or Degree in Production Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, Management, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 year's experience in production Planning and/or Material Planning role within Automotive Industry. Supervisory/Leadership experience Strong knowledge of Production Planning, Inventory Management and Material Control Experience using and ERP/MRP system is essential, SYSPRO experience is highly advantageous Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, formulas, data analysis and reporting. Working knowledge Of Bills of Materials, MRP Planning, production scheduling and inventory control. Experience preparing and maintaining APDP (FORM C2) and EPA Declarations. Understanding Of OEM Customer Requirements. Knowledge and/or exposure to IATF16949/lS09001 and IS014001) Systems Will be advantageous. RESPONSIBILTIES: Production Planning: Prepare and Maintain production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and production capacity. Monitor production progress and planning schedules as required. Coordinate with production to ensure adherence to production plans. Identify potential production constraints and communicate risks to management. Assist with Capacity Planning and Production Prioritisation Ensure accurate creation and maintenance of work orders within the ERP/MRP system. Material Planning: Plan and Monitor Long Term Forecasts with Suppliers. Ensure raw materials and components are available to meet production schedules. Generate Material requirement reports and identify shortages. Coordinate with the suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials. Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment to maintain optimal stock levels. Assist in reducing excess inventory while preventing stock shortages. Administration and Reporting: Maintain accurate production and material planning data Within the ERP/MRP system. Prepare daily, weekly. monthly planning and inventory reports. Calculate, prepare and submit EPA and APDP declarations in accordance with regulatory and customer requirements and compliance with submission deadlines. Maintain accurate records and supporting for All EPA and APDP submission ensuring audit readiness. Maintain accurate production plans, material planning records and planning documentation. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve planning, reporting, and administrative processes.
