Our client Haier is looking for a Production Material Control Department Head in Lahore
Haier is seeking an experienced and driven PMC Department Head - M1 to lead and oversee the Production Material Control (PMC) department. The successful candidate will manage a dynamic team of 20 professionals, guiding them to achieve operational excellence in production planning, material planning, and supply chain management. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in both technical and managerial aspects of production control, who can ensure timely delivery and quality in all processes while minimizing costs and inefficiencies. The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, with preference given to those who possess basic knowledge of the Chinese language to facilitate cross-cultural collaboration.
The PMC Department Head will be responsible for ensuring the seamless integration of production planning and material supply, utilizing advanced systems such as SAP, BOM, WMS, COGI, and Production Orders. A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required, supported by an MBA in Supply Chain Management or a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. The role demands a proactive leader capable of performance monitoring, schedule management, quality assurance, and fostering team leadership to drive continuous process improvements and meet the company’s high standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute monthly, weekly and daily production plans aligned with sales demand and manufacturing capacity.
- Ensure material availability by planning requirements, coordinating imports/supply chain and securing next-day production materials.
- Manage SAP production operations, including production orders, BOM accuracy, COGI resolution and WMS updates.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Production, R&D, Inventory and Line In-charges to resolve material and order-related issues and achieve targets.
- Lead OPSI planning, budgeting, ordering & business plans, daily production reviews, MRN for rejected parts, month-end closing and audit compliance.
