About This Role
This Production Manager role is critical to ensuring the company's electric vehicles and accessories are produced on time, at the right cost, and to the highest quality standards as production scales. It is a hands-on leadership position at the intersection of production planning, supplier management, purchasing, and manufacturing operations, serving as the central point of accountability for production.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end production planning and execution, ensuring manufacturing milestones, schedules, and delivery targets are met
- Coordinate contract manufacturers and internal teams to ensure material readiness and production schedules remain on track
- Coordinate directly with key component sub-suppliers to keep critical spare parts and accessories in stock
- Manage purchasing, purchase orders, supplier lead times, and production-related logistics
- Identify and proactively resolve production bottlenecks, supplier delays, and operational risks
- Build and manage overseas-based manufacturing support resources, establishing clear accountability and effective communication
- Track production progress, maintain clear reporting, and escalate critical issues to leadership
- Develop scalable production management processes and systems to support increasing manufacturing volumes
- Partner with engineering and quality teams to coordinate technical changes, production readiness, and manufacturing improvements
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in production management, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or related roles
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects involving multiple suppliers, stakeholders, and timelines
- Experience working with overseas contract manufacturers and supply chains
- Strong understanding of production planning, purchasing, supplier management, and manufacturing processes
- Experience leading teams or coordinating external resources across different locations and time zones
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable taking ownership, making decisions, and solving problems independently in a fast-moving environment
- Willingness to travel internationally, including to manufacturing partners overseas
