About This Role
Leading the two floors that make and ship orders is the core of this hands-on leadership role, which is responsible for both day-to-day performance and the standards, procedures, and equipment that keep them running as the company grows. The role suits someone who can run today's floor while building a better one for tomorrow, with the goal of having both floors run without direct intervention.
Responsibilities
- Set the schedule for both floors and move people through the day to fill gaps and keep orders moving
- Hire, onboard, coach, and manage performance for both teams, including the seasonal fulfillment crew
- Own the engraving quality standard, the packing and shipping standard, and the SOPs and setup procedures the coordinators train from
- Review the defects, remakes, and mispicks the coordinators capture and fix the procedure or training behind them
- Keep machines and stations running: maintenance checklist, service and repairs, parts and laser tube recharges ordered ahead of need
- Own the Q4 plan for both floors: capacity, staffing, and what has to be ready before peak
- Watch on-time ship, throughput, defects, and labor, and act before a date is missed
- Run the weekly floor meeting and develop the two coordinators to own their floors
Requirements
- Experience running a production or fulfillment floor, with direct reports
- Proven experience hiring, training, scheduling, and reviewing a team, and leading it through a peak season
- Writes a clear procedure and keeps it current; comfortable at a desk as well as on the floor
- Comfortable with computers, software, and AI tools; picks up new systems fast
- Mechanically capable and comfortable with equipment; laser engraving experience is a plus, not a requirement
- Calm, fair, and direct; makes the call and explains it
- Leads from the floor without becoming the bottleneck
- Direct management: 1 year (Required)
- Running a production or fulfillment floor: 1 year (Required)

Important Details
- Schedule: full-time, Monday–Friday

- Workload fluctuates seasonally, and peak periods may require increased pace or temporary schedule flexibility
