SUMMARY: Our client is an established technology company seeking an experienced Product Repair Technician – Electronic Systems to join its technical workshop team.

Gauteng Remuneration: Basic Salary: R22 000 - R27 000 per month, depending on experience, Plus Medical Aid; Provident Fund; 13th Cheque; Performance Bonus The Opportunity Our client is an established technology company seeking an experienced Product Repair Technician - Electronic Systems to join its technical workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, repairing and testing electronic products and components, ensuring that all repaired equipment meets the required quality, functionality and performance standards before being released back into the field. Key Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose and repair faulty electronic products, equipment and components received by the Workshop Repairs department. Perform systematic fault-finding and technical diagnostics to identify the root cause of product or component failures. Repair, replace and/or restore defective components in accordance with approved technical procedures and quality standards. Conduct comprehensive functional and performance testing following repairs. Perform final quality inspections and sign off repaired products/components before they are released for field deployment. Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to Workshop staff when dealing with more complex faults. Assist with the training and development of Workshop personnel in repair, testing and fault-finding procedures. Ensure all repairs are completed accurately and within required turnaround times. Monitor the availability of spare parts, components, consumables and repair tools and raise requirements when stock or equipment is needed. Complete all required repair checklists, test sheets, service records and technical documentation accurately. Ensure correct product/component identification, labelling and traceability throughout the repair process. Ensure repaired products are properly cleaned, assembled, packaged and supplied with all required components before release. Maintain accurate repair histories and records to support product quality monitoring and future fault diagnosis. Identify recurring faults or quality issues and escalate these to the relevant technical/management personnel. Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment. Deliver a professional level of internal and external customer service. Minimum Requirements Matric / Grade 12. Basic Electronics Certification or relevant electronics qualification. Minimum 5 years'' relevant experience in an electronics/product repair environment. Proven hands-on experience in fault-finding, diagnostics, repair and testing of electronic products or equipment . Experience working in a structured technical workshop or repairs environment . Experience applying quality control and inspection standards . Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook . Ability to interpret technical information, repair instructions and testing procedures. Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to fault diagnosis. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently while also providing technical support to other workshop personnel. Strong commitment to quality, accuracy and product reliability.
