About the role
Job Title: Product Owner-Digital Channels
Office Location: UB Plaza, Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines, (Headquarters)
Employment Type: Probationary
About The Role The Product Owner is the squad’s experience steward and delivery engine. Where the Senior Product Owner sets the journey-level direction, the Product Owner lives inside the squad — owning the backlog, writing stories, making daily prioritization calls, and ensuring every release moves the customer experience forward. Think of this role as the on-the-ground architect who translates blueprints into a building, making real-time decisions to keep construction on track without losing sight of the design intent.
What You'll Do
-
Backlog and Delivery Ownership / Strategic Translation and Prioritization
-
Own and maintain the squad backlog by writing epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria that are clear, testable, and outcome-oriented.
-
Work with developers and QA to plan, build, test, and release features in a cadenced and predictable manner.
-
Make daily prioritization decisions that balance customer value, business impact, technical debt, and risk.
-
Translate the Senior Product Owner’s journey-level direction into squad-level backlog items that can be delivered by the team.
-
Clarify requirements, priorities, and acceptance criteria during delivery to keep the squad moving without losing sight of the design intent.
-
Customer and Experience Focus / Journey and Experience Ownership
-
Use customer behavior data, usability research, and feedback to continuously refine priorities and validate assumptions.
-
Ensure features support the intended experience and value proposition as defined by the Senior Product Owner and Platform Experience Lead.
-
Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure features are designed with the customer at the center, not bolted on at the end.
-
Flag experience gaps or unintended consequences to the Senior Product Owner where squad-level delivery may affect cross-platform journey coherence.
-
Keep the customer experience moving forward with every release, while staying aligned to the intended journey design.
-
Operational and Cross-functional Collaboration / Delivery and Governance
-
Coordinate operational readiness and instrumentation for releases, including change communications, training, and post-release monitoring.
-
Collaborate with UI/UX, Analytics, Operations, IT, Legal, and Risk partners to ensure features are compliant, measurable, and operationally sound.
-
Maintain strong working relationships with Technology counterparts and proactively surface technical risks and dependencies.
-
Support release readiness by ensuring the squad has the needed inputs, decisions, operational alignment, and post-release monitoring plans.
-
Escalate delivery risks, unresolved dependencies, or cross-functional issues to the Senior Product Owner when squad-level resolution is no longer sufficient.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Marketing, Industrial Engineering, or any related field.
- Relevant experience in product ownership, digital channels, agile delivery, business analysis, customer experience, operations, or technology delivery.
