This Product Owner role involves leading the features and solutions for a new policy administration system. You will collaborate with various domain stakeholders to deliver business features and products, ensuring business goals are met. The position focuses on business process mapping, identifying gaps, and improving efficiency.
Responsibilities
Lead business process mapping and documentation
Identify process gaps and improve process efficiency
Own the features and solution of a new policy admin system
Collaborate with domain stakeholders from Hong Kong General Insurance (including Business Development, Products and UW, Claims, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Technology, etc.) to deliver business features/products and meet business goals
Work closely with business and technology teams to drive products and features delivery from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment
Track roadmap progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones, proactively escalating issues and proposing mitigation plans to ensure roadmap commitments are achieved
Facilitate quarterly and annual roadmap planning sessions with business and technology stakeholders to align investment priorities and delivery capacity
Coordinate with the GI business domain team to create and maintain a product backlog, and prioritize the backlog according to business value or ROI
Prioritize features and tasks by taking into account business viability, feasibility, design and development costs
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery of strategies within the lifecycle of existing products or new products
Manage and drive the agile cadence including host prioritization meetings, create user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog management, standup meetings, demo, retrospective, etc.
Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future iterations
Lead the planning of product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
Compile user stories on product configuration, documents, workflows, and reports
Test the tech delivery to ensure it meets expectations
Manage defects identified in the testing stage, investigate and triage to corresponding party for fixing
Support the investigation and resolution of production issues
Requirements
Degree holder in Business or Information Technology with experience in the insurance industry
More than 5 years of experience in the digital product management industry in roles of Product Owner or Senior Business Analyst
Practical experience in running prioritization meetings, specifying user requirements, and managing User Acceptance Testing

Experienced in Agile methodology project delivery working with offshore teams
Good knowledge in insurance operations, systems and workflow practices, including NB, policy administration, claims, compensation, tied agency and Finance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with being organized, structured and proactive
Good communication skills, able to work with user departments and vendors
Good problem solving and strong analytical skills, able to clearly present results systematically and logically
Innovative with good presentation and communication skills
