Product Marketing Manager

A leading specialised retail organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Offer Marketing to define and lead its product portfolio strategy in a rapidly evolving omnichannel environment.
Reporting directly to senior leadership and working across commercial, marketing, digital, and product functions, this role will own the vision and performance of the product offering, identifying opportunities to strengthen customer appeal, profitability, differentiation, and overall commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Offer Strategy & Category Management
- Define and lead the overall product and category strategy based on customer needs and business objectives.
- Identify growth opportunities, market opportunities, and areas of differentiation.
- Analyse category performance and monitor key commercial and profitability indicators.
- Translate market and customer insights into actionable portfolio strategies.
Product & Portfolio Development
- Lead the development and optimisation of product ranges and portfolios.
- Oversee sourcing, quality, product development, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Coordinate product launch plans with commercial and marketing teams.
- Identify opportunities to expand and strengthen the overall product offering.
Strategic Partnerships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with partners to enhance and develop the product portfolio.
- Support initiatives focused on innovation, quality, responsible sourcing, and procurement.
Customer Experience & Digital Performance
- Lead digital merchandising strategy across relevant sales channels.
- Monitor category performance and key e-commerce metrics.
- Work closely with marketing and digital teams to maximise product visibility and commercial performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience across omnichannel touchpoints.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team.
- Establish effective processes and encourage collaboration across functions.
- Develop team capabilities and support ongoing professional development.
- Create alignment around commercial priorities and portfolio strategy.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent higher education qualification.
- Proven experience in category management, product purchasing, offer marketing, or product portfolio management.
- Experience within retail, distribution, e-commerce, or a comparable commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of commercial performance, category management, and product development.
- Experience with product development or sourcing is advantageous.
- Strong analytical capabilities and experience using performance indicators to drive decisions.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to engage and align multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Comfortable working across multiple functions and within transforming business environments.
