Job Responsibilities
- Lead new product and process development from customer requirements to final qualification
- Develop quality checkpoints, testing protocols and control plans for new materials and products
- Source and qualify new raw materials, suppliers and production lines
- Drive sustainability initiatives for packaging materials and processes
- Supervise and develop the engineering team
- Monitor departmental budgets and optimise resources
- Ensure compliance with food-contact packaging and quality standards
- Support process improvements and technical problem-solving
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Around 4–5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in the manufacturing, packaging, process engineering or product development will be advantageous
- Knowledge of film, coating, lamination and printing processes
- Experience with control plans, technical drawings, BOMs and process routings
- Knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with quality standards such as FSSC 22000, BRCGS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 will be advantageous
