Product Applications Engineer

About This Role

This engineering role focuses on making it easy for customers to adopt the company's precision analog front-end solutions. The Product Applications Engineer will drive positive customer engagement, provide design-in support, and create tools and technical media to promote product awareness and ease of use. The role involves working within a multi-disciplinary team to bring new products to market and developing system-level understanding in relevant application segments.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative new products that solve tough problems and are easy for customers to use
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (Marketing, Design, Test & Evaluation, Field Applications/Market Segment) to engage closely and deliver to customers
• Implement first-class customer design-in support
• Understand customer needs and applications
• Provide innovative, practical, and timely solutions to customer issues
• Work with field colleagues or directly with the customer to solve issues and clearly communicate solutions
• Create tools that make it faster and easier for customers to design in products
• Work within a cross-discipline team to efficiently bring new products to market, acting as the customer advocate
• Develop system and customer knowledge to enable informed, evidence-based decisions
• Create technical media (Datasheets, Application Notes, Circuits from The Lab, videos, technical seminars/webinars, and trade press articles) that promote awareness, effectiveness, and ease of use of products
• Make differentiation and value clear in technical media
• Develop relationships with Field Application Engineers, Sales Engineers, and distributors via key training material creation and delivery
• Deliver both on-site and webinar-based technical training
• Be open to learning every day
• Understand customer system issues with a view to defining value-added solutions
• Play a contributing role in defining strategies for application segments

Requirements

• Recent graduate with a Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification
• Core electronics fundamentals in both analog and digital domains
• Outgoing personality with a pleasant, professional, and self-driven manner
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to work well within a team – both the product development and within the applications team
• Primarily hardware-based role

Nice to have:

• Experience in embedded microcontrollers and creating data acquisition subsystems
• Proficiency in software for complete systems understanding and design-in tool development (e.g., Python, C, LabVIEW, C#)
